Important Pre-Appointment Instructions for Your Child's Visit to Kid Gloves Surgical Specialists

CONSULTATION PROCESS

01

In most cases, a referral from your child’s pediatrician (primary care or PCP) will be required (check with your insurance). If your appointment was scheduled by your PCP’s office on your behalf, then the referral has been requested.

02

You will receive an email confirmation of your appointment, or additional communication about scheduling a remote (telemedicine) appointment.

03

Check your email for additional information, including several forms that must be completed before you arrive at the clinic. It is very important that you complete these carefully and thoughtfully, as it helps us provide a streamlined visit while also creating a safe care plan for your child.

04

The clinic visit is an office consultation, not the surgical procedure itself. After consultation, we will all determine together if surgery is right for your child. If so, it will be scheduled for a future date at an appropriate facility.

05

If your child has had any imaging (radiology tests) performed (like X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI) related to the reason you are seeing us, please request a CD-ROM of the images from the facility where they were performed and bring it with you on the day of consultation. If we are not able to view these images (not only the printed report), it may significantly delay your child’s care.
